Dr Mahar is an experienced academic biostatistician and Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. His main research interest is Bayesian experimental design and statistical decision theory. He has been involved in the design and analysis of multiple adaptive platform trials and sequential multiple assignment randomised trials in areas including COVID-19, cancer, Staphylococcus aureus, and perinatal medicine.
